Insurance
I am in-network with the following insurance providers
- Lyra
- Modern Health
- Cigna
- Optum
- United Behavioral Health
Your co-payment and deductible will be billed at the time of service.
I am an Out-of-Network provider for most other insurance providers and will provide you invoices that you can submit to your plan for reimbursement.Please be advised that confidentiality may be compromised when you use health insurance to pay for counseling and psychotherapy. Before we start working together, I recommend you call your insurance provider and get details about your coverage. I would also be happy to call your insurance provider on your behalf and help you learn more about the details of your coverage.
Some questions you may want to ask your health insurance provider, include:
- Whether or not you have mental health coverage;
- Whether or not Telehealth is covered;
- Whether or not you’ve met your deductible;
- What is your coverage for out-of-network providers; and
- How many sessions of psychotherapy your insurance will cover.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments
If you are unable to attend a session please notify me as far in advance as is possible. Since scheduling an appointment involves the reservation of time specifically for you, a minimum of 24-hour notice is required for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. You will be responsible for the full fee for missed sessions and cancellations if 24-hours has not been given.
Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
